Students at Powell Elementary School will have access to free breakfast and free lunch each school day for the 2025-2026 school year.
What does this mean for you and your student(s)? All students enrolled at our school will be eligible to receive a healthy breakfast and lunch at school at no cost. While one breakfast and one lunch meal per school will be offered for free, students may still purchase second meals and/or a la carte items; however, please note that charging for these items to a student account is NOT allowed. Students must have cash or funds in their student meal account to purchase second meals or a la carte items.

Through the 865 Academies and Career and Technical Education programs, are helping end veteran homelessness through Operation Hero’s Hill while gaining real-world skills. A group of Powell High students are taking it a step further in an after-school externship with skilled-trade mentors.

On weekday mornings at New Hopewell Elementary, the day starts with movement. Before classes begin, students head to the track for the school’s Jogging Club—a simple but impactful program helping students build healthy habits while strengthening school community!
